The 100-plus-year-old pipe organ at the First Congregational Church of Sonoma was dismantled last week and taken to Schoenstein & Co., a San Francisco pipe organ manufacturer. The organ will be reassembled and repaired and taken to its new home at the Jacuzzi Winery. The church is getting a new digital organ since fewer and fewer people can play the antique organ, and repairs are getting more expensive because of a dwindling supply of parts.
