Sonoma middle school bands to perform at SSU

The annual Sonoma County Honor Band performance will take place on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University. Eleven students in

seventh and eighth grade at

Altimira Middle School will participate in the 95-piece band composed of musicians from 17 other middle schools around the county. The students will rehearse on Friday and perform on

Saturday evening. Tickets $8. “Our students are so excited for this

opportunity to create music with top musicians from the county,” said band teacher Carolyn Niehaus.
