Hundreds of people attended the annual Sonoma Valley Fire and Rescue open house on Sunday, Oct. 23. From a benefit pancake breakfast served up by the Montgomery Village and the Valley of the Moon Lions clubs, to rides on an old-time firetruck and a costume contest for the kids, there was something for kids of all ages. Top, firefighters attacked a fire in the training center to demonstrate how they fight a fired. At right, 4-year-old Benson Lohr gets some tips on how to use fire hose from volunteer Tyler Dunlap.
