‘I-T’ to temporarily relocate across street

Storied news operation to temporarily relocate during construction|

They say the news is always on the move. Well, beginning next Friday, that will be true in more ways than one for the Sonoma Index-Tribune.

On Aug. 5, we at the I-T will be boxing up our computers, thesauruses and red proofing pencils and heading into temporary digs across the street – literally, directly across the street – at 110 W. Napa St. We’ll be closed that Friday’s “moving day,” but open and back in business in the temporary location beginning Monday, Aug. 8.

We’ll be in the temporary work space for several months while work progresses on the redesign of our 117 W. Napa St. building. Meanwhile, our P.O Box and staff telephone numbers will remain the same. Look for signs indicating the proper entryway at our temporary quarters; our goal is to remain as accessible and available as possible, just as the paper has always been.

When we return to the refurbished building in early- to mid-2017, we look forward to christening the building’s new look with a grand opening celebration.
