Hospital beats record with five babies in 24 hours

Five babies in 24 hours is a first for both the hospital and Dr. Amara.|

It began Sunday, May 8, at 10:30 a.m., when the first of five babies was delivered at Sonoma Valley Hospital's The Birthplace, and continued until around 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, when the last baby arrived. It was a record for Sonoma Valley Hospital and for obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Paul Amara, and The Birthplace team – five births within 24 hours. The best part was it began on Mother's Day. All babies were born safe and healthy. The previous high point for Dr. Amara was four births in a 24-hour period a couple of years of ago. The babies are (l to r) Ryan Elizabeth Everidge, Katiana Lopez Medina, Dylan Romo Gutierrez, Jennifer Hernandez Ramirez and Abraham Caballero Avalos.
