Seeking entries for Sept. 10 event|

Veterans of Foreign Wars Bear Flag Post 1943 is accepting registrations for the fifth annual All American Bad Ass Car Show to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Sonoma Valley Veterans War Memorial grounds, 126 First St. W.

The VFW has teamed with Bad Ass Cars, to host Sonoma Valley’s best car show of the year. One-hundred-fifty hot rods and muscle cars are expected to attend the show, which is free to the viewing public. Pre-registration is now open until Aug. 31 at a cost of $35 per vehicle. After the Aug. 31, registration will be $45 on a first-come first-serve basis. All entrants must be American made, 1973 or older.

Motorcycles can be new but must be built in the USA. There will be music all day, with food, beer, soft drinks and other vendors on site. Trophies will be presented in five categories peculiar to the show.

The now popular Ladies Spark Plug Changing Contest is on tap and winners will receive first and second place trophies. Also included will be a Girl Scout pancake breakfast, raffles, and a silent auction.

All proceeds go to support Bear Flag Post 1943 programs and veterans in need. To download registration forms and look at photos from previous shows, visit VFWPost1943.org or call 938-3543.
