Boys & Girls Club Sweetheart Gala on Feb. 13

Sold out with a growing wait list, the 2016 Sweetheart Gala and Auction takes place this Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Maxwell Park location.

The Sweethearts this year are August and Allison Sebastiani.

The black-tie event begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail reception, hors-d’oeuvres by Sonoma Teen Services’ Lovin’ Oven with ingredients provided by Sonoma Market. The full bar includes wines by Pangloss Cellars, beer by Lagunitas Brewing, sparkling wines by Breathless Wines and cocktails by 3 Badge Beverage Corp.

A silent and live auction will feature getaways, athletic events and include more than 75 food and wine packages. After dinner, DJ Kixx will play dance music until midnight.

The casino lounge will offer gambling, in the spirit of philanthropy. The Whisky & Cigar Bar will feature Masterson’s Rye, served along with handrolled cigars provided by Oye Productions.

More than 40 businesses and community leaders have signed on to sponsor the event.

Sweetheart Gala Event co-chairs Connie Sangiacomo and Andrea McGinty worked on the event with committee chairs Denise Bolek, Bridgette Cunningham, Dolo res De Alba, Beth Fenton, Moira McGinty, Windee Smith and Whitney Stoner.

All funds raised from this event will support programs offered at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley’s six locations.
