Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley’s annual Sweetheart Gala & Auction will be held on Feb. 13, 2016, honoring August and Allison Sebastiani. Each year a “Sweetheart” is selected for their leadership and outstanding contributions to Boys & Girls Clubs and the youth of Sonoma Valley. The Sweethearts demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of children and teens through leadership, volunteering, and financial support.

For five generations, the Sebastiani family has been dedicated to supporting the youth of the Sonoma Valley community. August and Allison continue this tradition and truly epitomize what it means to be a Sweetheart, club officials said in a statement.

August Sebastiani has served on the Executive Board of Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley (BGCSV) and currently sponsors the Youth of the Year event which provides post-secondary education scholarships and celebrates the achievements of Sonoma Valley teens. He also serves as Chair of the

Board of Trustees at Presentation School as well as the Trustee of the August Sebastiani Foundation.

Allison Sebastiani volunteers for BGCSV and works to bring renowned speakers to share their wisdom with the entire Sonoma community through the Presentation School Speaker Series. She is also Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley alumna and together they enjoy watching their children participate in athletic programs offered by BGCSV. August and Allison also support the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation. According to the B&G club, August and Allison’s commitment to nurture the youth of Sonoma Valley inspired this year’s theme: With Love, All Things Grow.

The Sweetheart Gala & Auction is the most important fundraiser of the year for Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley. The event brings together 370 guests from San Francisco and the North Bay area. The event generates 15 percent of the annual budget and proceeds support programming that changes the lives of kids and teens in Sonoma Valley.
