SV Fund offers grants for nonprofits

Info meeting set for Aug. 26|

The Sonoma Valley Fund has launched a new capacity building grants program this month.

Information on this competitive grants program will be described at an informational meeting from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Grange, 18627 Sonoma Highway.

This multi-year grants program will provide funding and technical assistance to organizations interested in committing time, energy and innovative thinking to assess and plan for increased organizational effectiveness. Selected organizations will have the opportunity to participate in a facilitated learning cohort, receive consultation in capacity-building and an organizational assessment, support in developing a capacity-building plan, and initial funding of $5,000 to be used at the grantee’s discretion.

Anyone who is interested in attending this workshop, email Karin Demarest (kdemarest@sonomacf.org) to register. This workshop is designed for staff and board members of organizations serving Sonoma Valley as well as their fundraising advocates and champions. It will help equip anyone interested in submitting a competitive application for a grant.
