A 24-year-old Springs woman arrested twice in three days

Saturday, July 5

9:15 p.m. – Caught with alcohol. While on patrol near the fireworks in the 300 block of West Spain Street, a deputy spotted a known probationer who was walking along carrying an open bottle of beer in one hand and a partial case in the other. The deputy knew that under the terms of probation, the suspect, a 27-year-old Springs resident, was not allowed to consume or possess any alcohol. The man, on probation for a gang-related assault in a bar, was relieved of his beer and given a chauffeured ride to county jail.

Monday, July 6:

9:46 a.m. – Truck stolen. A resident in the 10 block of Creek Lane reported that sometime between July 2 and July 6, someone stole his 2005 Nissan Frontier that included a $2,000 camper shell and more than $5,000 in tools and electronics. The man told deputies that he left the vehicle locked.

Tuesday, July 7:

9:18 p.m. – Seeing his own bellybutton. Deputies were sent to the bike path near Robinson Road for a report of a man who had been staring at a bush for the last two hours. The man, a 46-year-old Windsor resident, was reportedly incoherent. A deputy found a glass pipe and a syringe on the man. He was cited for being under the influence of a controlled substance and taken to the hospital for observation.

Tuesday, July 14:

7:54 a.m. – After a traffic stop in the 18000 block of Sonoma Highway where the motorist was doing 45 in a 30 mile an hour zone, a search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe and a bag of methamphetamine. The 34-year-old Sonoma man was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while unlicensed, and given a ride to the county jail.

Sunday, July 19:

12:58 a.m. – While on routine patrol in the area of the Plaza, a deputy saw a driver fail to stop at a stop sign. The driver opted for a blood test to test his alcohol level. The 35-year-old San Franciscan was cited for driving under the influence.

9:12 a.m. – A 57-year-old Springs woman who had gotten into the finishing lane at the Napa-Sonoma Half Marathon wasn’t part of the race and was causing a commotion. A deputy asked the woman to leave numerous times and finally he had to escort her out of the way. She still wasn’t cooperating so she was arrested for resisting an officer and received a chauffeured ride to the county jail.

1:04 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a domestic incident in the 600 block of Este Madera. When they arrived, they found that a 69-year-old male was intoxicated. He was on probation, with terms not to consume alcohol, and he wasn’t going quietly. He was arrested on charges of obstructing and a probation violation and was transported to jail.

Monday, July 20:

2:48 p.m. – An unknown person tagged Staples, 977 W. Napa St., with a 5-foot-by-5-foot tag on the east side of the building. It wasn’t gang related.

Tuesday, July 21:

2:33 p.m. – A city worker saw three juveniles spray painting on the side of a mausoleum. Deputies tracked the threesome down while they were walking on Second Street East. The three, a 17-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old were all cited for vandalism and referred to Youth and Family Services.

Thursday, July 23:

1:08 p.m. – Deputies arrested an employee of Harvest Moon Cafe on charges of grand theft. It seems the employee, Tien Truong, 20, of Sonoma, reportedly deposited his paycheck in the bank with an app on his smartphone, and then would go to a branch, and physically deposit the check a second time. He reportedly had deposited almost $3,000 when the scheme was detected. He was transported to county jail.
