A Springs man faces a variety of charges after he tried to pick a fight with two neighbors at around 7 p.m. on Friday, June 12.

The man was in front of his house in the 18000 block of Comstock Avenue when he saw the son of his next-door neighbor walk by. The suspect said something to the man and then charged him. The suspect reportedly took a swing at the man, but missed. The man called for his father and took a swing at the suspect, connecting. The father came to the aid of his son, and the suspect took a swing at the father, also missing.

The suspect reportedly threatened to kill both the father and son.

When deputies arrived, they found that the suspect was intoxicated and after interviews arrested the suspect, Jorge Anguiano, 44, of the Springs, on charges of felony threaten crime with intent to terrorize, battery on a person and assault. He was transported to county jail.

Sunday, June 7:

3:47 a.m. – Alcohol-fueled domestic. Deputies were sent to a residence in the 800 block of Third Street West for a domestic violence incident. Both parties were intoxicated, but apparently after an argument, the male dragged his girlfriend up the stairs. The 22-year-old man was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault and transported to jail.

Monday, June 8:

3:56 p.m. – Unruly patient. Deputies were called to Sonoma Valley Hospital to handle an unruly patient. The ambulance had picked the man up in Olson Park and transported him to the hospital. The 62-year-old Sonoma resident tried to walk out of the hospital still attached to the IV he was hooked up to. Deputies tried to restrain the intoxicated man but he was having none of it. He wouldn’t put his hands down and he kicked a deputy. When they finally restrained the man, they gave him an escorted ride to county jail where he was booked on charges of public intoxication.

5:02 p.m. – Dogs in a hot car. A deputy was called to the 300 block of First Street West for a report of two dogs locked in a warm car. The deputy managed to unlock the car with his baton and transported the dogs to the police department. When the owner claimed the dogs, he said he had left them for only an hour. But the temperature that day was 85 degrees and the dogs had no water. The incident was forwarded to the city attorney for prosecution.

9:26 p.m. – Daily Double: Burglary and trespass. A 28-year-old Springs resident was arrested on charges of trespass and residential burglary. After a neighbor reported some suspicious activity, deputies arrived and arrested Morgan Plumere on charges of residential burglary and trespass.

Friday, June 12:

12:35p.m. – Caregiver flees. A resident in the 700 block of Fifth Street West reported that his half-brother, who was also his caretaker, stole $1,000. The man said his half-brother was usually paid by a third party, but the half-brother said he didn’t get paid and asked the victim for $1,000. The suspect also reportedly emptied a bank account and fled to Thailand.

Sunday, June 14:

3:26 a.m. – Alcohol-?fueled driving. On patrol in the vicinity of Highway 12 and Siesta, a deputy pulled over a motorist for speeding. While chatting, the deputy could smell alcohol on the driver and asked him to perform some field sobriety tests, which he failed. On a preliminary alcohol screening, the man blew a .16. The 41-year-old Springs resident received a chauffeured ride to the county jail where he was booked for driving under the influence.

10:58 p.m. – More alcohol-fueled driving. While on patrol in the area of Highway 12 and Verano, a deputy spotted a motorist who blew through a red light and then passed two cars on the wrong side. The 47-year-old Santa Rosa resident refused a Breathalizer test and a blood draw and was booked into county jail on DUI charges.

Monday, June 15:

11:26 a.m. – Naked and stoned. Deputies were sent to a business in the 200 block of West Napa Street for a report of a man walking around the outside of the store naked. After employees spotted the man, they locked the doors to discourage the man from coming in the store. By the time deputies arrived, the man had put his clothes back on. While talking to him, the deputies noticed he was fidgeting and sweaty and the arrested the 41-year-old El Verano resident on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Tuesday, June 16:

12:49 p.m. – Resisting arrest. Deputies responded to a disturbance call at a supermarket in the 400 block of West Napa Street. When deputies arrived, they found the subject sitting in a planter box. When the deputies started walking toward the man, he got up and tried to walk around the deputies by walking in the street and told them he “didn’t want their bibles.” Deputies finally restrained the 47-year-old transient and charged him with resisting arrest and two city pedestrian infractions.

Wednesday, June 17:

11:39 p.m. – DUI. Deputies were sent to the area of Fourth Street West and West Bettencourt for a report of a drunk driver. When they arrived, they found a vehicle parked next to a residence with the driver sitting in the car and the keys in the ignition. The 69-year-old woman admitted she had been drinking and failed the field sobriety tests. On a blood-alcohol breath test, the woman blew a .20. Since she was next to her residence, she was cited for driving under the influence.

Thursday, June 18:

8:33 a.m. – Vandalizing wine. A 27-year-old Rohnert Park resident walked into Whole Foods and reportedly started kicking wine bottles and also kicked the front door. By the time deputies arrived, the man had broken 30 bottles of wine valued at $342. The man was cited for vandalism.
