Youth program grants available

The Rose Marie Piper Foundation is now accepting requests for grants that will provide money used for the purpose of qualifying youth programs.|

The Rose Marie Piper Foundation is now accepting requests for grants that will provide money used for the purpose of qualifying youth programs.

Each applicant must be a designated 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. The requests must be received no later than Aug. 1, or they will not be considered.

The foundation was able to distribute $155,00to seven different youth organizations in 2014. As per Rose Marie Piper’s wishes, the Boys & Girls Club receives 50 percent of the yearly distribution. Last year the other organizations receiving grants were Artescape, VOM Teen Center, WillMar Family Grief and Healing Center, VOM Aquatics, Pets Lifeline and Sonoma Valley Girls Softball.

The board of directors of RMPF are Dr. Larry Adams of Adams Chiropractic, Vince Albano-CEO of Mary’s Pizza Shack, Dr. Rich Caselli-retired Sonoma Valley dentist, Jodi Anderson-data base administrator at Hanna Boys Center and Heidi Holden Stovall-community volunteer.
