Market becomes a drive-through

A Napa motorist was injured Wednesday afternoon when the car he was driving struck the La Morenita #3 Market at 18303 Sonoma Highway. According to the California Highway Patrol, Stephen Thomas Kroyer, 65, was southbound on Sonoma Highway at 3:40 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, he allowed his vehicle to travel in a northeasterly direction across the northbound lane and directly into the market. The market sustained severe damage. A Sonoma County building inspector was called to the scene. Kroyer was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial with moderate injuries by ground ambulance. The CHP says drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor. No other injuries were sustained.
