This year’s City Party will be held Thursday, July 30, behind City Hall in the Sonoma Plaza.

The Sonoma All-Stars Band and special surprise guests, led by hometown harmonica hero Junior Boogie, will headline the party. Featured performers will include Tony Saunders, Austin DeLone, Roy B, David Aguilar and Rich Kirch, along with Sonoma natives T Luke, Zakk Murphy, Codi Binkley, Adrian Travino and Dylan Chambers.

The event is hosted by the Sonoma Community Center. Thanks to event sponsor Redwood Credit Union, and with critical support from the City of Sonoma, and the Rotary Club of Sonoma Valley, the center looks forward to providing one of the best parties of the year.

“We’ve been doing this party for the past 19 years, and this year we’re excited to take it back to its roots as a home-grown ‘thank you’ to the people of Sonoma,” said executive director Toni Castrone.

The City Party will begin at 5:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and low-profile folding chairs, and to clean up and pack out their own garbage.

For those 21 years old and up, beer and wine will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefitting the Sonoma Community Center. Large folding tables, umbrellas, canopy tents and barbecues are prohibited. No unattended setups will be allowed prior to 3 p.m. Unattended blankets and chairs are subject to removal.

More information about the City Party and the Sonoma Community Center is available online at sonomacommunitycenter.org, by calling 938-4626, or in person at the center’s office at 276 E. Napa St., in Sonoma.
