Lara Westlake Severson

On the morning of June 18, 2015, Lara Westlake Severson, 48, of Sonoma, passed away unexpectedly in a Novato hospital.

Lara will be fondly remembered by her sons, Trevor and Garret; former husband, Chris Severson; parents, Larry and Barbara Westlake; brothers, Brian and Aaron Westlake; sister-in-law, Robyn Westlake; nieces and nephews, Kendra, Tyler, Grace, and Megan; partner, Mark Dickinson; and her many relatives and friends.

Lara was a lifelong resident of Sonoma and graduated from Sonoma Valley High School in 1986. She was employed at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Lara was a devoted mother who enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, ocean fishing, diving for abalone, playing softball and riding dirt bike. She was an avid 49ers and Giants fan and attended many games. Lara was full of life, always making those around her laugh and smile. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2015, at St. Francis Solano Church in Sonoma at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Michael Kelly.
