‘Friends’ used book sale starts Wednesday

The upcoming Friends of the Sonoma Valley Public Library book sale is going to be one of its larger ones.  The Cooking, Biography/Autobiography/Memoir, and Fiction categories are well represented this time around.  Perfect for honing those summer cookout menus or for simply stocking up on leisure time reading.  There will also be a selection of numerous other types of books, as well as CDs, videos, books-on-tape, and LPs. All items are priced at either $1 or $2, and all kids from pre-K through 12th grade get their first item free.  Sale dates are Wednesday, May 27, through Saturday, May 30.|

Sale dates are Wednesday, May 27, through Saturday, May 30. Members-only buying hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 27.

And patrons can buy memberships at the door if they haven’t already joined the Friends. Public buying hours are from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday; and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Nonprofit representatives as well as all teachers and school staff are welcome to choose free books all day on Saturday, May 30, the last day of the sale. They are asked simply to check in with Dave Dobbins at the sale and register with him.
