VOM Lions donate $1K to NIE

The Valley of the Moon Lions Club donated $1,000 recently to the Newspaper in Education Program which provides newspapers to teachers and students in the Sonoma Valley Unified School District.|

The Valley of the Moon Lions Club donated $1,000 recently to the Newspaper in Education Program which provides newspapers to teachers and students in the Sonoma Valley Unified School District.

Because of sponsorships from community businesses and organizations in Sonoma, students receive a life-altering gift – the knowledge of how to use the community newspaper as a learning tool that will benefit them the rest of their lives.

The VOM Lions Club raises money for numerous causes worldwide such as Lions in Sight, Canine Companions, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Babe Ruth League, Vintage House and scholarships to high school students, to name a few. For questions regarding membership, call Dave Block at 996-3281.
