The AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide program, at the Vintage House senior center, 264 First St. E., is open on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and noon.

There are also Tax-Aide sites in Santa Rosa – call 211 or go to aarp.org/taxaide for days and hours.

The Tax-Aide program is aimed primarily at low- and middle-income households, with a focus on those 60 and older, but is open to anyone needing to file a tax return. Service at the site is first-come, first-served. Besides bringing all tax documents for 2014, photo ID, and proof of Social Security numbers, organizers ask that 2013 tax returns (and related documents) also be brought, if available, to help them make sure they prepare accurate 2014 tax returns.

Last year the site prepared and efiled more than 300 tax returns, free of charge.
