Attorney Eric Gullotta was named Executive of the Year by Sonoma Valley Executives this week.

Gullotta, of estate-planning specialists Gullotta Law Group, said he’s “ecstatic” to be selected as the local group’s inaugural award recipient.

“It was a privilege to be recognized,” said Sonoma Valley Executive-member Gullotta.

In addition to his work in estate planning, Gullotta and his wife, Lani, recently became the new owners of the Sonoma Stompers professional baseball team; the couple announced their “grand slam” of a purchase in January.

Additionally, Gullotta is president of the board of directors at Becoming Independent, and is a member of the Sonoma Chamber of Commerce.

“Sonoma’s home to me; I was raised here. To me, it’s just making my home better,” said Gullotta.

As part of the award, $500 will be donated by Sonoma Valley Executive in Gullotta’s name to a charity of his choice. Gullotta says that charity will be Becoming Independent, the county-wide agency that assists people with disabilities to, according to its website, “live meaningful and productive lives.”

Sonoma Valley Executive officer say Gullotta earned his honor because his involvement in the community goes beyond their group.

“I think Eric is someone very much involved in the community in Sonoma and in promoting businesses here in Sonoma, which I think is important,” said Marsha Copeland, president of Sonoma Valley Executives.
