Surrounded by her family, Ruth passed away peacefully on January 13, 2015. She was born as an only child to Orvy and Ellen Fleener on April 22, 1921 in Clarinda, IA.

During World War II she worked as a riveter on B17s at Lockheed Manufacturing. While living in Hollywood and working as a cutter on an assembly line, she met her husband Alvin in the Spring of 1947 and they were married that November under a large sycamore tree. They moved to Villisca, IA to help work the fields on the family farm where their first son was born. They eventually moved back to California where they had their second son and two daughters. Ruth was a devoted homemaker and mother. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking and hummingbirds. She was famous within her family for her apple pies and Sunday dinners.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Beebe; her son, Timothy Beebe (wife Pamela); her daughters, Sherry Grundy (husband Jim), and Candie Ralsten (husband Rusty); her grandchildren, Brandon Grundy (wife Kossima), Kyle Beebe, Larissa Charles (husband Chris), Jordan Grundy (fiancé Ashlee), and Kodi Beebe; and her great-grandchildren, Abbigail and Justin Grundy.

Memorial services were held on January 17, 2015 at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
