Filling vacancies on county panels

First District Supervisor Susan Gorin is seeking volunteers for positions on local policy making bodies.

There are a number of boards, committees and commissions that advise and address important community issues.

Volunteers are sought for the following boards:

• Alcohol and Drug Problems Advisory Board which advises the alcohol and drug program administrator(s) and informs the board of supervisors on policies and goals of the county alcohol and drug program. Two vacancies.

• Mental Health Board acts as a community focal point for mental health issues by reviewing and evaluating the community’s mental health needs, services, facilities, and special programs. It advises the board of supervisors and the Behavioral Health Director regarding any aspect of local mental health programs. One vacancy.

• Flood Control Advisory Committee, Valley of the Moon Zone 3A. Members of this committee are representative of agricultural, residential, municipal and commercial interests within this zone and advise on flood control matters. are three vacancies on the Flood Control Advisory Committee, Valley of the Moon, Zone 3A.
