Prestwood's third-, fourth- and fifth-graders were treated to an appearance Tuesday morning by Amy G. – Amy Gutierrez – the Giants' in-game reporter on Comcast. She talked baseball with the students, answered questions and signed copies of her book, 'Smarty Marty's Got Game.' Her book is a way for kids to learn about baseball and the love – and lore – of the game. The Petaluma native inked the baseball book in 2013. The title character, Marty, is named after Gutierrez's mother, Martha, who died just before Gutierrez started writing the book. Marty is a little girl who teaches her little brother about baseball, emulating the relationship of Gutierrez's own children. Top, Amy G. chats with some of the students. At right, she tells them about the

World Series.
