Museum sets closing party for ‘Memories’

The Sonoma Valley Museum of Art is hosting a closing party for “Kitchen Memories: The Kathleen Thompson Hill Culinary Collection” exhibition from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22.

Keeping with the theme of kitchen, food and fun, light appetizers will be provided by Laura Chenel’s Chevre, Marin Cheese Shop, and Crisp Bakeshop along with wine provided by Buena Vista Winery. Also, the identities and functions of all the gadgets on the “What Is It?” table will be revealed and a few fun prizes will be awarded for the best, most, and cleverest identifications.

Throughout this exhibition, visitors have been stopping by the museum with gadgets from their own homes to donate to the Kathleen Hill Culinary Collection. If anyone has something they would like to contribute to the KTH collection, bring it to the party on Nov. 22.

“Kitchen Memories: The Kathleen Thompson Hill Culinary Collection” exhibition will continue to be on view through Dec. 1.

Tickets for the Kitchen Memories Closing Party on Friday, Nov. 22, are $10 for members, $12 general public. Purchase tickets online at svma.org.

The museum is located at 551 Broadway museum is open to the general public during exhibitions Wednesday through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for individuals, free to the public on Wednesdays and always free to members. Join online at svma.org.
