Murphy’s tops bartender battle

Derek Belanger and Ashley Griffen, from Murphy’s Irish Pub, were the winners in the annual Battle of the Bartenders on Saturday. Second place went to Burgers & Vine, third place to Saddles Steakhouse and fourth place to The Swiss Hotel.

There were 12 competitors this year vying for the top spot. In the Glorious Gloria Sparkling contest, the winner was Kenny from El Dorado Kitchen; second place went to Gerard at Burgers & Vine with Coy at Centre du Vin at the Ledson Hotel placing third.

HopMonk Tavern’s took home the honors voted by the patrons of Best Fan Favorite Booth and Town Square the honor of Best Fan Favorite Cocktail for the fourth year in a row. The proceeds from the event are split between the Native Sons of the Golden West Parlor #111 and the American Legion Jack London Post #489.
