Motivational speaker inspires Adele students

Known for his energy and humor, motivational speaker Justin Boudreau took the gym floor at Adele Harrison Middle School last month and wowed the assembled 433 students with his empowerment message. He focused on inspiring students to worry less about being cool and to focus more on their future.

Adele math teacher Liz Bauer won a raffle at the 2014 CADA conference (California Association of Director of Activities) and the prize was the chance to have Boudreau come speak at her school. Bauer is an advisor to Adele’s leadership students and she is always looking for opportunities like this for Adele students. Boudreau is known for his “Calling for Gratitude” campaign that is based on paying gratitude forward.

He is the co-author of the book for teens “Gearing Up: Inside & Out for a Great Life.”

Boudreau said that despite barely being able to read and having no friends until middle school, he fulfilled his childhood dream by qualifying to compete in a professional beach volleyball tournament.

He went on to teach high school, to be named a coach of the year, to travel the world and to co-write a book.
