Marilyn Severson

Marilyn Severson, 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2014.

Marilyn was born on July 31, 1938, in Shelly, Idaho.

For 23 years, Marilyn worked at Silverado Country Club as banquet manager. She and her late husband, Rich, moved their family to Sonoma in 1973. This was where she enjoyed the beauty of Sonoma and enjoyed riding her bike around the area where she had lived. On her days off from work, she would have all her grandchildren over for the day, playing, swimming and recording them singing on her karaoke machine. Marilyn is survived by her four children, son, Brent Severson; and daughters, Roxanne Mertens (Fred), Diana Mazzucchi (Larry) and Joni Severson. She is also survived by her brother, David Harris (Dana); and sister, Elien Johnson (Ross).

She also leaves behind her 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Although our hearts are aching from our loss, she would demand we carry on and go forward with our lives knowing that she is at peace. We all miss you and we will never forget you. Sweet dreams, Mom.

There will be a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 615 Fifth St. W. at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014.
