Maria Renteria de la Cruz, 73, died Nov. 20, 2013, in Petaluma.

Maria was the loving mother of Dolores Harvey, Maricela Esparza, Lorena Santana, Alma Esparza and Marco Esparza; dear sister of Guadalupa de Gracia and Jose Renteria; proud grandmother of nine grandchildren.

Maria was a homemaker and a 30-year resident of Sonoma. She was a native of Jalostotitlan, Jalisco.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Catholic Church on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at noon. A vigil service was held at Duggan’s Mission Chapel on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013.

Interment will follow at Valley Cemetery, Sonoma.

Donations are preferred in Maria’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
