Marcel Jean Brochier

Marcel Jean Brochier, 75, died Feb. 21, 2014, in Napa.

He was the adored husband for 53 years of Judith A Brochier; dear son of Mary Brochier and the late John Brochier; loving father of Michael and David Brochier; Debbie Idiart and Janis Schank; father-in-law of Karen and Sheila Brochier, Roger Idiart and Terry Schanki. He was the brother of the late Barbara Berard; idolized grandfather of Tim, Annelise, Nathan, Loren and Simone; and several nieces and nephews.

Marcel was foreman machinist at Hunter’s Point and Mare Island for 31 years. He was a lifelong 49er fan and he loved to travel. He was an excellent dog trainer, hunter and loved to garden. He was a 40-year resident of Sonoma.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, 601 W. Agua Caliente Road. The rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. preceding the Mass. Private inurnment. The family wants to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff at Da Vita Napa.
