Man missing from care facility

Sonoma police are trying to locate a 55-year-old man who went missing from the Sonoma Care and Rehabilitation facility in Sonoma Sunday.

Henderson "Buddy" Ashworth was last seen at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday in his wheelchair on the sidewalk outside the care facility at 1250 Broadway. He was drinking coffee and looked as though he may have been waiting for a ride. At about 4 p.m., staff located Ashworth’s wheelchair at the front doors of their lobby but could not locate Ashworth.

Ashworth is described as being a white male adult, about 5-foot-5-inches tall, 150 pounds, with gray, balding hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a checkered red jacket and jeans shorts. He may be using a walker to get around. Ashworth has some mental disorders and physical disabilities, including a knee fracture that limits his mobility. Ashworth is from the Napa area but moved to Sonoma in September of this year.

If anyone has any information about Ashworth's whereabouts, contact the Sonoma Police Department at 996-3601.
