Lynn Diane Tilcock, of Sonoma, passed away peacefully on Sept. 24, 2013, at the age of 72.

She was born on June 16, 1941, in Berkeley, to Lois and Delbert Thompson. She was raised in Orinda and had been a resident of Sonoma for 50 years. She truly loved the Sonoma Valley.

Lynn was a simple woman and found pleasure in most anything. She will be remembered for her genuine caring heart, her laughter and her gentle soul. She loved her kitty, and was an avid fan of bingo, thrift shops and watching old movies.

Lynn leaves behind a son, Ken Tilcock, and wife, Cathy; a daughter, Theresa Woodbury, and husband, Dave; five grandchildren, Steenalisa, Aiden Ashley, Chelsey and Stevie; and two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Aubrey. She also leaves behind a brother, Clark Thompson; caregiver, Brad; and numerous friends. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at the Sonoma Creek Clubhouse on Oregon Street in Sonoma, on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at 2 p.m. Any donations can be made to Pets Lifeline, an organization she was very fond of.
