Lyn de Veuve Rucker

Lyn de Veuve Rucker was born in the glittering lights of San Francisco in 1945. She died in Napa in an ocean of mustard blossoms in 2014.

A dashing pilot and fiery entrepreneur gave birth to a woman of water and spirit, Linn de Veuve; the first of three daughters. After passionate escapades with toads and dragons, Lyn finally found her heart’s captain and saw the world. In her egret form she walked barefoot in the sea, in her elephant form she danced to music others couldn’t hear, and in her human form she painted great gooey works of art.

She once made love in the Paris opera to the strains of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte, dined on oysters and champagne in the moonlight, and wrote poetry ’til daybreak.

She lives on in her beloved daughters, Sabrina and Lexi Barry; they are her life’s work. They treasure her always.
