Loves the roundabout

Letter to the Editor

Editor, Index-Tribune:

I love the roundabout! My day consists of several trips per day down Arnold Drive. Now that construction and landscaping is complete and drivers are learning how to use it, it is a pleasure to drive through the intersection. Yes, there was a learning curve for some drivers not familiar with roundabouts, and someone actually told me they didn’t know what “yield” means.

In the past, traffic backed up during commute times and when school let out. Now I rarely have to come to a stop at all. A perfect spot for another one is the intersection of Highways 116 and 121.

I like it too. Though I don’t like my truck being damaged by all the other roads in serious disrepair that have been ignored because our taxes for years have been used for other non-essential consumptive purposes that do not serve the general welfare.
