While out looking for newly blooming mustard in vineyards, I-T photojournalist Robbi Pengelly came across a turkey vulture that was evidently eyeing something to eat. The turkey vulture is a scavenger and feeds almost exclusively on carrion. The birds are protected under the Migratory Bird treaty Act of 1918.
