Running to another pair of individual and team Sonoma County League cross-country victories were senior Owen Ljung and his Sonoma Valley High School varsity boy teammates, respectively, in their SCL road tri-meets against Analy and hosting Healdsburg at the Hoot Owl Creek Winery on Wednesday.

The Dragon boys scored a 25 to beat Analy’s 40 and Healdsburg’s 58, as Ljung led the way on the 2.95-mile race with his winning time of 16 minutes, 17 seconds, followed by senior Keegan Ginter’s third-place finish in 17:15; senior Christian Martinez’s fourth in 17:18; freshman Leonardo Macedonio’s eighth in 17:59; junior Ian Sloop’s ninth in 18:12; junior Return Bongiovanni’s 13th in 18:34; frosh Austin Phillips’ 25th in 21:09; and sophomore Pablo Cruz’s 28th in 21:14.

In the girls’ race, the Lady Dragons ran to a score of 49, which was second to winning Analy’s 25, but was good enough for a victory over third-place Healdsburg’s 54.

Pacing the Sonoma girls were sophomore Madeline Libbey’s third-place finish in 20:32; frosh Maddie Cashel’s sixth place in 22:03; senior Jocelyn Mondragon’ 15th in 24:20; frosh Crystal Rodriguez’s 18th in 25:09; frosh Maggie Luque’s 25th in 28:45; frosh Lidia Garcia’s 26th in 28:59; frosh Sofia Serbicki’s 27th in 29:32; and frosh Emma Rochlin’s 28th in 29:49.

The cross-country Dragon teams will next host SCL foe El Molino in both their home and season finales this Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 4 p.m. on the Maxwell Farms Regional Park course.
