Linda Black joins I-T sales team

The Sonoma Index-Tribune has named Linda Black as the newspaper’s advertising manager.

From 2005 to 2013, Black worked at the Pacific Sun, a weekly newspaper based in San Rafael where she was advertising director. Before that she worked in advertising sales for 10 years at the Marin Independent Journal, also based in San Rafael.

“When I heard about the new local ownership of the Press Democrat, I was excited to become part of the new team,” Black says. “I knew the Press Democrat, Petaluma Argus-Courier, Sonoma Index-Tribune, Sonoma Magazine and the North Bay Business Journal were all highly respected from both an advertising and an editorial standpoint.”

Black began her career while still a college student in Long Beach, selling ads for the Long Beach Press Telegram.

At the Index-Tribune, Black said, she is “working with our marketing consultants to help area businesses effectively reach our readers via print and digital campaigns.”
