Lillian (Lil) Peters

Lillian (Lil) Peters, (DeWolfe), of Sonoma, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2014, in Santa Rosa. She was 95.

Lillian was a native San Franciscan. After marrying Robert and living most of their lives in San Francisco and Millbrae, they moved to Sonoma in 1986. They enjoyed living in the country (Sonoma), and especially spending time in their garden with their companion dog, Ginger. Their most favorite times were when their family visited. After Robert’s passing, Lillian lived at Merrill Gardens for more than 10 years.

Lillian was preceded in death in 1998 by her husband of 62 years, Robert; and her sister, Florence Chalmers, in 2004.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Frank Ferratta, of Santa Barbara, Carolyn and Walter George, of Sonoma; and grandson, Matthew George of San Rafael. She is also survived by nephews, Allan Chalmers (Linda), of San Francisco and Gordon Chalmers (Beverly), of San Mateo; and cousin Pat Nesbitt (Hal) of Port Ludlow, Wash.

Most recently Lillian was kindly cared for by her caregivers Eden, Annie and Michelle.

Interment with Robert at Mountain Cemetery, Sonoma. A family memorial service will be held in May.
