Jean-Charles Boisset, owner of Buena Vista Winery, as well as Raymond and DeLoach vineyards, has abandoned plans to replace the leather shop next to his Atelier Fine Foods boutique in Yountville and is instead working to establish a brewery in Windsor.

Apparently there is some work to be done because they invited people to join them for sledgehammers, beer and food pairings β€œto help break the walls of the past to prepare for our new brewery.”

The site was the Old Redwood Brewing Co. at 9000 Windsor Road in Windsor.

Boisset also recently bought the Oakville Grocery in the Napa Valley from Samantha Rudd, daughter of the late entrepreneur Leslie Rudd. Oakville Grocery has had multiple owners over the course of the past few years.

Founded in 1881, Oakville Grocery is supposedly the oldest continually operating grocery store in California, and its Coca-Cola outdoor wall sign is a landmark that attracts locals and tourists alike.
