Golden Gate Salmon Association to honor Grant Davis

County water agency manager feted for conservation efforts|

The Golden Gate Salmon Association will host its fifth annual Sonoma Salmon Dinner on Friday, Nov. 9 at Ramekins Culinary Center and will honor Grant Davis, general manager of Sonoma County Water Agency.

Last year’s dinner raised $60,000, with half of that going to local fire relief efforts, according to a press release from the Salmon Association. This year’s dinner will raise funds to support GGSA’s long-term goal of rebuilding salmon runs that support families and communities up and down the coast of the Pacific Ocean.

Chef Kyle Kuklewski of Ramekins and Ted Wilson of San Francisco’s Fine & Rare and the William Tell Hotel in Tomales have created the menu that will begin with fresh oysters from Drakes Bay Oyster Company, cocktails, wines and a live auction of chances at ocean fishing and use of a boat at Caples Lake Resort in the high Sierras, a stay in Mendocino, a stay at Plump Jack Squaw Valley, and lots of wine lots. $125. 5:30 p.m. 450 W. Spain St.

Tickets at (855) 251-4472 or at https://sonoma-salmon-celebration.eventbrite.com or goldengatesalmon.org.
