Sandwich maker Kendra Kolling cuts the mustard

Kendra Kolling of Kenwood, known as the Farmer's Wife because of her family's Nannie Mae's Organics apple orchards and products, makes fabulous sandwiches. (We've tried them at our Tuesday farmers market, the Heirloom Festival in Santa Rosa and at the Marin Farmers Market at Civic Center.)

And now Sarah Fritsche wrote in the Sunday Chronicle pink section that, 'Hands down, no one makes a better sandwich at Outside Lands (and quite possibly the Bay Area) than the Farmer's Wife's Kendra Kolling. She'll be back this year with lamb merguez and chimichurri melts as well as tuna melts.' The piece featured a photo of Kolling's 'The Works' sando, taken by Santiago Mejia of the Chronicle.

Even her grilled cheese sandwiches are the best – and filling.
