The Kenwood and Glen Ellen wineries that unite as the Heart of Sonoma Valley Association will go ahead this weekend and celebrate being alive with their annual Holiday Open House.
The Saturday and Sunday event, Nov. 25 and 26, brings opportunities for multiple wine tastings, holiday nibbles, discounts, and special holiday packages at 20 wineries along Highway 12 north of Sonoma.
If you give wine as a holiday gift, this might be a good chance to pick up some deals and support local wineries that need to make up for lost time and sales during our devastating October fires.
You can start at any of the 20 participating wineries which include, alphabetically, B. Wise Vineyards Tasting Lounge, Benziger Family Winery, Chateau St. Jean Winery, Deerfield Ranch Winery, Eric Ross Winery, Imagery Estate Winery, Kenwood Vineyards, La Rochelle, Ledson Winery & Vineyards, Loxton Cellars, Manzanita Creek Winery, Mayo Family Winery, Muscardini Cellars, Paradise Ridge Winery, Spann Vineyards, St. Anne’s Crossing Winery, Suncé Winery, Ty Caton Vineyards, Valley of the Moon at Madrone Estate and Wellington Cellars. Tickets and souvenir glass $45 advance, $55 at door, and designated drivers $10 advance, $15 at door, good for both days. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Get tickets at 431-1137 or heartofsonomavalley.com.
