The Golden Gate Business Association of San Francisco will honor Out in the Vineyard founders and organizers Gary Saperstein and Mark Vogler, who just finished hosting Gay Wine Weekend two weeks ago here in Sonoma.

Gay Wine Weekend is annual three-day event featuring winery tours, music and dancing and a champagne brunch and wine auction. This year’s event featured gust Jim Obergefell, lead plaintiff in the 2015 Supreme Court case that legalized same-sex marriage.

The Gay Wine Weekend “recovery brunch” on July 16 raised $48,000 for Face to Face, a nonprofit dedicated to “ending HIV in Sonoma County.”

Saperstein and Vogler will be guests at a celebration tonight, Friday, July 28 at Lambert Bridge Winer in Healdsburg.

Saperstein said in an email, “We are truly honored to be recognized for our work in support of our LGBTQ community here in Sonoma County.” The event is from 4 to 6 p.m. Free to GGBA members, $25 public. 4085 West Dry Creek Road, Healdsburg.
