Hill, Bernstein honored by French cheese institute
‘Index-Tribune’ food writer Kathleen Hill, left, and Sonoma author-restaurateur Sondra Bernstein were among eight U.S. ‘cheese professionals’ inducted last week into the Guilde Internationale des Fromagers. The renowned French cheese institution recognizes contributions to the world of cheese by a variety of experts - from makers and mongers to chefs and writers. The ceremony was held at the Marin French Cheese Company, near Novato, with 160 cheese lovers in attendance.
