Tips for firewise landscaping of Sonoma properties

Free workshop at Sonoma library on Oct. 27|

The Master Gardener Program presents “Firewise Landscape: What Can You Do Now,” at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Sonoma Valley Library.

The presentation provides common sense, DIY tips to make your property a defensible space, reduce the fire ladder, and minimize the chance of wildland fires spreading through your landscape and burning your home.

Dennis Przybycien, a longtime master gardener, has given other workshops in home wine-making, growing wine grapes and less0toxic gardening.

The event is free. The library is located at 755 West Napa St.
