Sonoma Home Winemakers to hold tasting July 12

Members to present wines for sampling, evaluation and critical review by attendees and peers.|

Sonoma Home Winemakers will conduct their inaugural official wine critique and tasting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, at Vintage House. Members will present their finest varietals along with specifics about the production and fermentation process. A panel of experts will provide commentary and constructive support for the art of wine making.

'While we always sample wine at our meetings, this month we will formalize the tasting process and allow members to talk about their wine and receive structured feedback,' said John Randazzo, president of Sonoma Home Winemakers.

The Sonoma Home Winemakers meet at 7:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at Vintage House (264 First St. East). The organization is composed of home winemakers whose charter is to promote the fine art of making wine and share information among its members. They meet once a month to share ideas and information, evaluate each other's wine and host speakers from the wine community. Prospective members are welcome to attend.
