A spring plant sale is taking place at Quarryhill Botanical Garden from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 21. The 25-acre wild woodland garden is located at 12841 Highway 12, in Glen Ellen

More than 150 species of trees, shrubs, and herbaceous perennials will be available, many of which are uncommon in the nursery trade.

These species are native to temperate Asia and are descended from plants grown from wild-collected seeds.

The inventory includes several species of magnolias, maples, roses, dogwoods, and camellias, as well as attractive and rare plants such as Alniphyllum pterospermum and Incarvillea arguta.

Quarryhill members receive a 10 percent discount. Customers are asked to bring a box or container to carry the plants they purchase.

The plant inventory is available online at quarryhillbg.org/page158.html.

Proceeds from the Spring Plant Sale help support the mission of Quarryhill Botanical Garden - conserving plants and slowing species loss. For more about its conservation work, visit quarryhillbg.org/conservation.html.

The Spring Plant sale is part of the activities of Quarryhill’s 11th Annual Earth Day Celebration occurring throughout the Garden on Saturday, April 21 from 11 to 3.

The free program is open to all ages; $10 per care parking fee.
