Local author Marianne Harms will read from her book “A Strategy for Success” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 19.

“There is never a better time for self improvement than the present,’ said Rosie Lee of Readers’ Books.

Harms is a life coach who has been practicing privately in Sonoma since 1991. In this book, she guides her readers to create a life plan; by teaching about the psychodynamics of human interactions, she gives the reader tools and skills to accomplish all life’s goals.

Harms sees clients and facilitates weekend retreats at Sonoma Couples Retreat and Center Street Coaching, of which she is the owner and director. She holds a masters degree in social work through Adelphi University, New York. She is an Advanced Imago Couple’s Therapist and has completed advanced training in Imago therapy, hypnosis and spiritual direction.

Harms is also the author of the 2015 book, “Beyond the Laws of Attraction.”

“Join us on Thursday night to begin to construct your own life plan for success,” said Lee.
