Library hosts talk on fruit trees|

Master Gardener Fred Revetria will be speaking about how to start and care for a backyard orchard at the Sonoma Valley Library from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20.

In this free class, Revetria will discuss how, with careful selection and planning, you can enjoy a succession of ripe fruits throughout the season. Learn how to buy bare root trees, select the best planting site, how to plant, care for and prune fruit trees.

Revetria also has extensive experience growing various types of fruit trees and grafting fruit trees with various techniques.

The event is free and open to all. This event is a collaboration between the Sonoma County Library and the UC Davis Master Gardener Program.

The library is located at 755 West Napa Street.
