Celebrate this holiday season with the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art’s festive events.
December Look Club
Join new and returning members of the Look Clubbers on the second Wednesday of each month for a glass of wine and mind-opening conversations around selected artworks displayed in the “Richard Mayhew: Inner Terrain” exhibition. From 6 - 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 for the month of December. $10 tickets, free to SVMA members.
Sonoma Art Walk
From 5 - 7:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month, the SVMA is hosting free art walks. On Dec. 7, The Valley Quartet is performing music from classical, folk and modern genres as well as Holiday favorites. Quartet members include Violinists Kyle Craft and Caleb Forchen, Melinda Ellis on the viola and Cellist Tess Van Wagner.
Leaning Toward Light
SVMA annually hosts a poetry pairing combining poetry, art, food and wine. This year highlights “Leaning Toward Light ― Poems for Gardens and the Hands that Tend Them.” The event will feature four of the book’s poets; Editor Tess Taylor, Forrest Gander, Katie Peterson, Genine Lentine and Brynn Saito. Food pairings will be provided by Chef Kyle Kuklewski of Sonoma and wines from Coplan Vineyards, Dysfunctional Family Winery and Sonocaia Estate Vineyards. Great Places, Great Spaces: Home For The Holidays
Celebrate the holiday season at SVMA’s Home for the Holidays party. Hosted by Vickie Soulier at her home, the community is invited to indulge in wine, cocktails and appetizers. Enjoy the diverse selection of art, sculptures and Soulier’s home, decked out for the holidays. From 5 - 7 p.m. on Dec. 16, tickets cost $225, maximum 25 guests.
