An Oct. 14 benefit for Belos Cavalos’ Equine-Assisted Therapy programs will feature a performance by world-renowned equestrienne Sylvia Zerbini, and her herd of 18 horses, with aerial entertainers from Cavalia and Cirque du Soleil.

The equine experiential programs offered by Belos Cavalos serve foster children and at-risk youth in transition at Valley of the Moon Children’s Center and throughout Sonoma County. The Kenwood-based nonprofit, Belos Cavalos, specializes in four different areas: emotional and behavioral health, personal development and wellness, professional development and group education and performance art and movement research.

The nonprofit was founded by Charlyn Belluzzo “to honor, utilize, and promote the bond between horses and humans.” beloscavalos.org
