Vintage aircraft flight offered

Leaves from Napa airport Friday|

Here's a chance to ride in a unique 1939 Douglas DC-3 aircraft and see Wine Country and the San Francisco Bay Area like never before.

Event organizers, Golden Age Tours, say it's the same kind of aircraft Valley legend Hap Arnold would have flown.

Flights are offered July 28 and 29 at Napa County Airport. The 55-60 minute flight experience with approximately 40 minutes flight time will include the Napa and Sonoma Valleys and the San Francisco and San Pablo Bays, with views of Wine Country, Sausalito, Angel island, the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, Alcatraz, Treasure Island and city skylines.

According to event organizers, the aircraft cabin configuration allows freedom of movement after take-off and before landing and is air conditioned in flight. Complimentary glass of champagne or cocktail will be offered after the tour in the Napa County Airport terminal building.

$399.
